Verna has 10 planned districts. Four are in the game: Downtown, Dirwik, Fragment, and Stack. Skyarc, The Mirror, Axiom, Citra, Vertex, and Asylum are not released. You are a Runner moving illegally across the roofs. The Civil Protections Department is the organization trying to stop that. The story is still thin and is being added over time.
Released districts
Downtown is the pre-alpha center, urban roofs and office interiors, and the only district that pays 10 rank stars on entry. It borders Fragment on the east, Stack on the north, Dirwik on the west, and unreleased Skyarc on the south. Sites include the Tutorial, Main Spawn, Vertigo, Apollo, Oasis, Downtown Athletics, the old Tutorial, GL Tower, Derek's workshop, and Mantra's hideout. Alpha 1.73 reworked GL Tower, moved the nearby respawn transceiver there, expanded Mantra's interior, and put Derek's workshop on the Solar building.
Dirwik arrived on November 20, 2023 in pre-alpha 1.4. It is darker and neon-blue at night. It is the district with its own corporation set: Dirwik Company, Construction, Resources Branch, Offices, plus PRK Industries. Artemis and PRK Tech are the landmarks. Petra and Connor sell here. It currently has the most easter eggs of the released districts. It does not border Fragment. Asylum, also unreleased, is the other district that does not.
Fragment arrived on August 30, 2024 in alpha 1.3. It is the business district, with 19 interiors, the most of any district. Highrise is the northern sector, about 20 percent of Fragment, and it is the connected climb through Zephyr. Zephyr, not "Highrise" as a tower name, is the challenge tower and was the tallest tower as of alpha 1.5. Legacy Foundation, Crest, and Aven sit here. Harper is on Aven. Fragment was rumored to be a Legacy reference; that rumor is wrong. Legacy Foundation is a building inside it, and Treximea is Legacy's city, not this one.
Stack arrived on December 20, 2025 in alpha 1.7 and is the largest district as of that update. It is industrial: smokestacks, dull browns, pink neon, 11 cranes of its own shape. Alpha 1.72 rebuilt a lot of the gameplay space, added checkpoints, big carrying drones, and a cleaner border with Fragment. The challenge tower is Foundry and is not finished. A livestream name, Overflow, was not the confirmed name. A white, blue, and green pocket directly behind Zephyr matches the tower rather than the rest of Stack.
Towers worth the climb
- Vertigo, Downtown: transceiver mission, Chain at the top, an XP router, and Derek's binocular reward.
- Apollo, Downtown: one of Derek's 100-credit climb quests. The Apollo time trial was removed, so do not look for that start.
- Artemis, Dirwik: challenge tower with a pole and an XP router.
- PRK Tech, Dirwik: another Derek climb.
- Zephyr, Fragment Highrise: Gale starts inside it, and the third Fragment respawn transceiver is at the top.
- Legacy Foundation and the Highpoint: more Derek locate-or-climb objectives.
Cranes can be driven. Climb to the cab, sit, and rotate them. That became controllable in alpha 1.7 and is not limited to Stack.
Doors and vents open with DASH, the context button, or a powerslide. Some doors are locked, including the S door in Downtown that is tied to an unreleased glass-egg puzzle. Garage doors sometimes have a slide gap. Ziplines need the Zipline Hook.
