The names below are community techniques. They chain documented abilities. The ability list itself says names can change, and Slide Boost has already been removed: it was a jump out of a short slide, and it is not a current tool.
Practice on a ledge you can reclimb. Look before a long jump. Past a certain speed the jump commits your velocity and you lose air control unless another move changes it.
Gearless links
| Technique | Sequence | Why it exists |
|---|---|---|
| Wumpy | Long jump into a wall, wall boost, then jump in the coyote window as you barely clear the lip | Adds the wall boost's upward speed to a chain jump |
| Downshift | Dropdown and long jump together | Keeps the dropdown's fall reduction and starts a chain |
| Pogo | Wall-run downward and high-jump within about 100 ms of touching the floor | Coyote time at the floor lets you keep a chain |
| Transition boost | Jump as a dropdown starts | Keeps the small speed burst from the dropdown |
| Horizontal climb boost | Wall bounce, then look to the side | Redirects bounce speed; a wall run can carry it |
| Pipe eject | Slide or drop off a climbable | Leaving the pipe can coyote into a chain |
| Upward wall bounce | Chain long jump, optional wall run, wall bounce looking up, then chain | Sends the bounce over a lip so coyote time starts |
Coil at level 2 is the small midair tuck that lifts your hitboxes by about 2 studs. Use it to clear a vent lip, then mantle or springboard. A coil-assisted springboard needs momentum already.
Grappler links
These need a Grappler and USE AUGMENT.
- Grappler long jump, flail jump, or high jump: get pulled, then use that jump in the coyote window so the pull adds to the jump.
- Grappler launch: long jump, pull so you land as the rope arrives, then chain.
- Slingshot: a grappler long jump that ends on another lip, then chain. A powerslide in the coyote window is optional and harder.
- Gronkler: enter a powerslide with speed, grapple upward, look where you want to go, and jump.
Mag Rail links
Launch Rail upgrades change the tool, but the community names still start from USE AUGMENT.
- Mag boost: come in with speed, augment and ASCEND at the wall, then powerslide off the lip and jump.
- Crossdash: augment into a wall run to redirect.
- Mag fall cancel: augment twice beside a swing point and a wall to bounce instead of cratering.
- Mag jump: augment, powerslide, and jump to clear a low vent.
An early 2024 lesson also shows orca, or static chaining, and says it had already become unreliable. Do not build a time-trial route on a technique the demonstrator could not repeat. Retest anything that depends on a removed collision or an old Swing Grappler.
Wumpy is the one to learn first. It is the same idea as a long-jump boost: long jump, wall boost, coyote, chain.
